While it seems obvious and already utilized by many independent musicians, singers, and bands, this tactic is still a frequently overlooked opportunity. The usual train of thought behind this? “You gotta ‘make it’ first.”

It doesn’t work like that.

Music supervisors prefer to work with indie artists whom have yet to sign a bunch of contracts and agreements with third parties. The less red tape they have to deal with, the better. So, if they only have you or your band to deal with, life is much easier for them and that drastically increases the chances of your music getting Selected.

Be registered with a PRO (BMI, SESAC, ASCAP)
